A regular Zoom meeting of the ABCP was held on Wednesday 30 September 2026, as called by His Eminence the 30th Khamba Nomun Khan, Khansur Gabju D. Choijamts, President of the ABCP.

It was attended by the Most Ven Kh. Byambajav, ABCP Secretary General; Ven Dr Megadoda Abhayatissa of the Sri Lanka National Centre – Ven Dr Sumatissa Chapter; Ven Maitipe Wimalasara of the Sri Lanka National Centre – Ven Dr Wipulasara Chapter; Mr Jigmey Namgyal of the CTA National Centre – Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture; Ms Nadya Berkengeym, representing the Russian National Centres; Ven T. Altankhuu of the Mongolian National Centre – Dashichoiling Monastery; Mr Mukunda Bista, Secretary of the Nepal National Centre; Mr Sonam Wangchuk of the Indian National Centre; and Mr Gautam Arindam Barua of the Bangladesh National Centre One.

The meeting was opened by His Eminence Khansur Gabju D. Choijamts, ABCP President, who first paid “Homage to the Noble Triple Gem” and expressed ABCP HQ’s condolences to the Ven Bhikku Maitri of the Nepal ABCP National Centre over the tragedy that struck his hometown, the suffering of his disciples and friends, and the overall devastating flood that struck Nepal on 26 August 2026.

“At a time when the international situation is becoming increasingly complex, may our shared aspiration to champion the voice of global and regional peace on the international stage—thereby contributing meaningfully to enduring global and regional harmony—become ever more radiant through our unified efforts,” underlined the ABCP President.

The Most Ven Kh. Byambajav, ABCP Secretary General, in his remarks, summed up the decisions taken on some of the action points that were raised during the last Zoom meeting on 26 June 2026. He sincerely thanked Mr Mukunda Bista, Secretary of the Nepal ABCP National Centre, for developing a preliminary prototype of a proposed cloud cluster sharing platform for Buddhist heritage sites, and asked the National Centres to study the prototype and share their thoughts and suggestions in order to make this app much more meaningful and useful. The ABCP Secretary General also expressed condolences over the recent flooding in Bangkok which caused havoc and enormous damage.

During the Zoom meeting, Ven Kyokey Ono announced that the Japan National Centre was making a monetary donation to the Nepal National Centre in support of efforts to overcome the consequences of the deadly flash flood there.

The Most Ven Maitipe Wimalasara and the Most Ven Megadoda Abhayatissa, from the two Sri Lanka National Centres – Wimalasara and Wipulasara Chapters, have kindly agreed to host the next meeting of the ABCP Executive Council in Sri Lanka sometime during the first quarter of 2027. They indicated that the final dates would be communicated after consultation with the ABCP Headquarters.

Just before the close of the Zoom meeting, Mr Sonam Wangchuk of the Indian National Centre for the ABCP called to inform that the Vietnam National Centre for the ABCP is planning to host the 13th General Assembly of the ABCP in 2027, and that the exact dates and venue would be agreed upon after consultation with the HQ in due course.
