“Buddhism in the World” conference held at the Gandan Monastery

The Asian Buddhists Conference for Peace, Gandantegchenling Monastery – the Center of Mongolian Buddhists and the Association of Mongolian Buddhist Devotees, jointly organized a conference under the theme “Buddhism in the World”.

Mongolian and international scholars made presentations on the themes such as Buddhism and Peace, Asana Yoga in Buddhist Tantra, Feature of European Buddhism and the Appearance and Effect of Buddhism in Western Countries. Some of the presenters participated by online.

Gabju Choijamts Demberel, Khamba Nomun Khan of Gandantegchening Monastery – the Center of Mongolian Buddhists and the President of the Asian Buddhists Conference for Peace, inaugurated the conference conference.

The presenters from the National Centers of ABCP were:

        Most Ven. Thich Nhat Tu, President of ABCP Vietnam National Center –  Buddhism and the Fourth Industrial Revolution,

        Mr. Sonam Wangchuk Shakspo, Deputy Secretary General of ABCP –  History and Current Situation of Buddhism in Asia,

        Most Ven. Maitipe Wimalasara, President of ABCP Sri Lanka National Center Wipulasara Chapter – History and Buddhism in Sri Lanka, and

        Mr. Mukunda Bista, Executive Member of ABCP Nepal National Center –  Sacred Buddhist Places in Nepal.
