Thai delegates visit Mongolia

A high-profile Thai delegation from the Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCRU), which is one of two public Buddhists universities in Thailand, as well as being the oldest Buddhist university in the nation. 

The MCRU delegation was led by Most Ven. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pramaha Surasak Paccantaseno,            Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of the Mahachulalongkornarajavidyalaya University.

They were invited by the Zanabazar Buddhist University of the Gandan Tegchenling Monastery and the Asian Buddhists Conference for Peace. Mahachulalongkornarajavidyalaya University is a member of the Asian Buddhists Conference for Peace and became its member officially in 1982.

The Thai delegation called on the President of ABCP, Gabju D. Choijamts, met with the ABCP Secretary General Kh. Byambajav and also met with the Director of the Zanabazar Buddhist University of the Gandan Tegchenling Monastery, Acharya Ch. Luvsandorj. As a matter, during the visit Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and the Zanabazar Buddhist University of the Gandan Tegchenling Monastery decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding of cooperation between the two universities.

The MCRU delegation of the visited the giant statue of Chinggis Khan and the Choijin Lama Temple Museum, both of which are related to the history of Mongolia.
